Krystel Castillo was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She found her passion for civic education when she worked with MOVE Texas in 2018 as an intern, quickly followed by a yearlong fellowship.
Currently, Krystel is the Webb County Senior Regional Coordinator for MOVE Texas where she works alongside young organizers, empowering them to build pathways to civic engagement for folks in their community. In her free time, Krystel enjoys writing poetry, acting in community theatre, and spending time with her beautiful pug Petunia.
