MOVE Texas Civic Fund’s 2025 Legislative Priorities for the 89th Texas Legislative Session
MOVE Texas is committed to ensuring the 89th Texas Legislature is an avenue for protecting and expanding the rights and opportunities of our communities – not diminishing them. Representing the most diverse generation in Texas history, we are dedicated to working with the Legislature to strengthen democratic participation, advance green climate solutions, and safeguard protections for all Texans, regardless of race, income, location, or gender.
For years, young Texans have associated the state legislature with a process that jams through policies that foster fear, division, and the undermining of civil rights. At MOVE Texas, we know that when democracy functions as promised, lawmakers and communities are collaborators. By centering democracy, equity, and sustainability, the policymaking process can serve as a tool for building the Texas we all deserve. We look forward to empowering young people to lead at the Capitol and work with legislators to champion policies that represent and serve all Texans.
